Starship 3

Reading time: 1 minute

Me, my wife and our 2-year old son watched today the launch of the Starship. It reached the orbit. The largest rocket ever built. It’s amazing how it changed over the past 10 years. The rockets launch and land regurarly each and every week now.

My job is to keep the Earth orbit traffic safe, at least we are going towards that. Currently, I’m coordinating four ESA-related activities within the space safety domain. Am I tired because of that? Yes. Do I feel pressure we have to speed up things in Europe? Yes. Are we capable of providing day-to-day space traffic management? Certainly.

But it all comes are huge effort.
