Z-level unlocked

Reading time: 2 minutes

So my first Z-lens arrived. I have a conpany’s Z30 and wanted to try it a little more, looking at a powerful pocket camera - I was looking at iphone 16pro, but even my wife’s 15pro couldn’t convince me to pay 6k PLN for a camera - tru, that the best camera ja the one you have with you, but Z30 which we bought for a trip to Utah and I have it for tests, looked promising.

The creator kit has a 16-55mm VR lens, which is really slow, and taking shots of a kid at da house, in poor lighting, makes the camera switch to high iso loosing details I am used to have after years with D850. For the past few weeks I was looking at the reviews, and since the price tag is low for this lens, I decided to buy it.

Unpacked it, attached to Z30, take it to my pocket, go for my son and have some nice shots at the playground. Just like with the phone, but the pixels are larger! I think this is the beginning of switching me to Z system, I will most probably invest in my own Z30, since it has a great form factor, and even my 3yo son learnt easily how to take photos with it - he memorized auto mode easily, as his mum told him, and knows which button to press for the shots at maximum frame rate. He trained on iphones, now the next level begins.

I knew that switch to mirrorless would occur at some point, and I’m impressed that in my case this starts with the entry level camera - it has 20MP, 11fps, small form factor, full lens compatibility, so it won as a Iphone successor in my pocket photography.
